The Califorania Bar Foundation is dedicated to promoting, improving, and building public trust and confidence in the rule of law. The Foundation believes in the concept, established by the Constitution, that a just society is one that is governed by law. The Foundation uniquely serves as a vehicle for the people of California to achieve together on statewide basis what could not be achieved alone. Toward that end, the Foundation seeks, secures, and provides funding to programs and projects that are designed to do the following:

• Educate the public about their rights and responsibilities under the law. The Foundation strives to sustain efforts that provide our young people with guidance.

• Champion full and equal access to our system of justice by all people. The Foundation encourages ventures which increase access to the legal system for the poor and middle class.

• Foster confidence in the rule of law, the role of lawyers, and the function of the judiciary. The Foundation cultivates the tradition that the practice of law is a noble profession.

• Encourage altruism among members of the legal profession and the general public. The Foundation functions as an artery to express support for law-related causes.
